When it comes to obtaining increased productivity from your business’ storage areas then it just might be that Combilift can offer the perfect solution. Using patented leading-edge technology, Combilift forklifts are equipped with a unique four-way steering system that allows the units to travel sideways with long loads. This system gives the user multi-directional capability, delivering possible space savings of up to 50 percent over conventional counterbalance forklifts.
Combilift is the world’s first IC-engine-powered, all-wheel drive multidirectional forklift. The combination of forklift, side loader and aisle truck means the Combilift is actually three machines in one and is highly manoeuvrable, safe and cost efficient. The Combilift eliminates the unnecessary multiple handling of goods by being able to manoeuvre easily through doorways that are narrower than the load being carried. This results in less product damage and safer handling, as well as eliminating the need for oversized doorways or conveyors.
The multi-unit-capacity Combilift has proven to be successful at timber yards like Placemakers, where 6m lengths of timber can be moved effectively through much narrower aisles by utilising the side loader function. The same applies to high racking situations where Combilift demonstrates its versatility and efficiency. Alongside timber yards, other industries that would benefit from a Combilift include aluminium extruders, metal and plastic manufacturers and wood panel product suppliers.
The Combilift multidirectional forklift is available in a wide range of models, from 2.5 to 24 tonne machines. Combilift is obtainable in electric, LPG and diesel and can reach heights of up to 9m. The multidirectional forklift’s three-wheel rubber tyres give it the advantage of being equally useful in both indoor and outdoor applications. Operator comfort is also taken care of, with a fully enclosed cabin with appropriate climate control to meet the demands of the harshest environments.
Distributed in New Zealand by AB Equipment, the Combilift has its beginnings in Ireland. In just 11 years, Combilift has grown to be the global leader in the long-load handling market and its products can be found in over 50 markets worldwide.
